Spruce Avenue Real Estate
Spruce Avenue is located just north of Edmonton's downtown, on the southeastern side of the planned Blatchford redevelopment. One residence in three constructed b the end of WWII, eventually construction was completed by 1980, most of which were sing-family dwelling.
The neighbourhood is home to Kingsway Mall, the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), the Norwood Care Hospital, Spruce Avenue Community Center, Spruce Avenue Junior High School, and St. Basil Catholic Junior High School.
The residential section of the neighbourhood runs along gridiron streets lined with mature elm trees. Residents have access to many services nearby and have access to other parts of the city via the major arterial roads that surround the community.
Spruce Avenue took its name from the former designation for 114th Avenue, which was "114th Avenue-Spruce Avenue", likely named after the prevalent spruce tree.
Spruce Avenue real estate is bordered North by 118 Avenue, East by 97 Street, South by 111 Avenue, and West by Kingsway / Princess Elizabeth Ave.
