New Year’s Eve Downtown Festival and Fireworks

The City of Edmonton will once again be hosting their annual New Year’s Eve Festival at the Alberta Legislature Grounds. The event marks a perfect opportunity for families to take in the sights and sounds of the evening and still get to bed on time!
Peppa Pig / NYE Beach Ball Party
World Waterpark, West Edmonton Mall, 5:00 pm, 10:00 pm

Join Peppa Pig and her little brother George for a wet and whacky New Years' Eve Beach Ball Party! Held at the World Waterpark in West Edmonton Mall, this one-of-a-kind event is sure to make a splash with Peppa fans big and small.
2020 Ultra New Years Eve
Chateau Nova Yellowhead, Doors open at 5:30 pm
Tickets: $70 for adults, $25 children ages 3-12, FREE for children 2 years and under
Held at the Chateau Nova Yellowhead, the Ultra New Years' Eve dinner and dance is family-friendly and full of fun. Take in a delicious prime rib or pasta dinner (or chicken fingers for smaller diners) then get your boogie on to the stellar beats provided by ULTRA DJ.
NYE After Dark
Galaxyland, West Edmonton Mall, 7:00 pm – 12:00 am
Tickets: $19.50 - $24.50 (depending on child height)
Ever wanted to ring in the New Year on a rollercoaster? Now’s your chance! NYE After Dark at Galaxyland will feature a live DJ, photobooth, unlimited rides and adrenaline-pumping fun for the whole family!
Family New Year’s Eve Gratitude Party
ANVIL Coffee House, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Tickets: $15.00
The perfect event for smaller children, ANVIL Coffee House will be hosting their second annual Family New Year’s Eve Gratitude Party! This year’s celebration will take place between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm and will feature tasty treats, crafts and an exciting New Year’s Eve countdown!
Noon Year’s Eve
Telus World of Science, December 31st and January 1st, 12:00 pm
Tickets: Free With Cost of Admission
See some spectacular science demos and sample a scoop of Candy Cane Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream at the Telus World of Science! Scientists of all ages are invited to come by, have some fun and celebrate the “noon” year while watching a unique twist on fireworks, a colourful hydrogen balloon experiment and more.
Edmonton International New Years Eve Gala
Fantasyland Hotel, 7:00 pm
Tickets: $160 for adults, $80 for children 12 and under
A fantastic show in support of a great cause, the International New Years Eve Gala features an evening of live performances from a variety of former Cirque Du Soleil artists. The event also includes a delicious, gourmet meal and after-show dance, with proceeds going to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Capital Region New Years Eve Events
Strathcona County New Year’s Festival
Broadmoor Lake Park, Festival Place and Sherwood Park Arena
- Event takes place from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will feature indoor and outdoor activities, treats, performances and more

Heritage Park, Stony Plain
- Event takes place from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with fireworks at 9:00 pm. DJ and dance, family dinner, treats, wagon rides, face painting and more

St. Albert New Year’s Eve Fireworks
Mission Park, St. Albert
- Fireworks begin at 8:30 pm sharp
