Belle Rive Real Estate
Belle Rive was annexed by the City of Edmonton in 1969, as part of the Lakes District. The name Belle Rive, taken from the French "beautiful Shore," however, the neighborhood was initially intended to be Belle Riva, to honor the city's large Italian community. However, the spelling was never corrected. All of the Lake District areas are named after lakes.
The design concept for the neighborhood was established to create a balanced, cohesive environment. The roadway network for Belle Rive was intended to minimize the number of crossings, which includes six entrance points to the neighborhood.
Belle Rive is abundant of single-family homes, with a mix of nicely built duplexes and row houses, and no apartment buildings, which surrounds the lake.
This neighborhood hosts one school, Florence Hallock Elementary and Junior High School located at 16437 - 87 Street.
